Dead or Alive
At the heart of Christianity lies in the concept of spiritual life or spiritual death. Jesus spoke of spiritual life being available to all who wanted it, and he spoke of those who were already dead in sin. My church, and a lot of others us the biblical phrase "born again" (John chapter 3) That term however has been so over used in the secular world that many misunderstand it. Jesus said that if we come to him and believe in him you would have life. If you don't, you wont have that spiritual life. He even said you would be unable to see the kingdom of God without that life.
My question is, are you spiritually alive.? I am not asking how "religious" you are, or how great is your service to the church. You have to answer this one from deep inside of you. If you are alive, you should be sure of the fact. This is nothing to read over glibly and say "Of course I'm spiritually alive, I go to church." For God's sake, and for your sake, think about it. If you are not spiritually alive you might not know what I, or what Jesus is talking about. Jesus said, "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it." (John 5:21) He is pleased to give that life to whoever asks.
Jesus said, "seek and you will find"

.Luke 10:25-28 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
